Valkins helps drivers compare car insurance quotes and find the discounts and accident-forgiveness programs that lower their rate. This policy explains what personal information Valkins collects, what we do with it and the choices you have. Valkins isn't operated under a separate registered company name, so "Valkins", "we" and "us" mean Valkins.com.
When you request quotes, Valkins sells the information you enter to auto insurance companies, agents, brokers and companies that connect drivers to insurers, so they can send you quotes. You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your information using our contact form.
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to see how many people visit and which pages help them. GA4 sets cookies and reads your IP address, browser, device and the pages you view, and estimates a rough location. We use it for measurement, not advertising, and we don't sell it. Block the cookies in your browser or with Google's opt-out add-on if you prefer.
Our server records IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time. Logs are kept for a limited time for security.

We also keep a record of your consent: the consent statement shown to you, the time you agreed, your IP address and browser, the page URL and whether a Global Privacy Control signal came with it. The quote page uses ActiveProspect's TrustedForm service, which records the page and your use of the form and issues a certificate proving your consent.
Messages sent through our contact form, including privacy requests, are emailed to us, and a copy is stored with the IP address and browser they were sent from.
We use personal information to send your quote request to auto insurance companies so they can quote you and tell you about discounts; to keep proof of your consent; to guard against spam and misuse; to improve Valkins; and to handle requests and legal obligations.
Buyers of quote requests: auto insurance companies, agents, brokers and companies that connect drivers to insurers. They get your quote request and consent record, may contact you as your consent allows, and their own privacy policies govern what they do with it. We only sell within auto insurance.
Service providers: our hosting and email providers, Google Analytics and ActiveProspect (TrustedForm).
When required: we may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Valkins treats it as an opt-out of the sale and sharing of information collected from that browser. A quote request sent with GPC on is not sold, which means it won't be passed to insurers.
Reply STOP to texts, ask callers to stop, or unsubscribe from emails. You can also select "Stop contacting me" on our contact form; within 10 business days we'll stop our own contact and stop sending your details to new companies. Companies that already received your request keep their own do-not-contact lists, so please tell them too.

California residents can also request, once a year, details about personal information we disclosed to other businesses for their own direct marketing.
Make any of these requests through our contact form. Opt-outs don't require identity verification and are processed within 10 business days. For requests to know, delete or correct, we verify you by matching your details against our records and may email you. Expect an acknowledgement within 10 business days and a full answer within 45 days; if it will take longer (up to 45 extra days) we'll say why. You may use an authorized agent who has your written permission. After deleting your information we notify the companies we sold it to.
All of it comes from you, your browser, Google Analytics or TrustedForm. Valkins doesn't collect what California law treats as sensitive personal information, and doesn't offer financial incentives for data.
Quote requests and consent records: up to 5 years, so we can show consent. Privacy requests: 24 months. Google Analytics data: up to 14 months. Server logs: a limited period. Messages to us: as long as needed to deal with them.
Valkins uses encrypted connections and keeps quote requests on private servers with restricted access. No system is completely secure.
Valkins is for adults. You must be 18 or older to request quotes, and we don't knowingly collect or sell information about anyone under 18.
